Hosted Testnet

The hosted testnet has been live in production for nearly a year and has proven to be stable and reliable. It is currently used in production by many of our users and customers, and we recommend it as the default choice for most developers.

The hosted testnet is fully centralized, with Succinct operating as the sole prover. It supports payments exclusively in USDC, offering a simple and streamlined experience for teams looking to get started quickly.

To begin using the hosted testnet, refer to the documentation here.

Looking ahead, we will be transitioning to the Sepolia testnet as part of a broader upgrade to the Succinct Prover Network. This migration will:

  • Introduce $PROVE, the native token of the network, as the new payment mechanism.
  • Enable a decentralized and permissionless prover market, allowing anyone to stake and participate as a prover.
  • Increase proving capacity and lower costs through greater competition and supply in the network.

These changes are designed to make the proving ecosystem more open, scalable, and cost-effective for users.
